A-revolution

Tim and Don, did a duo set at Revolution Cafe
Friday. Good to see everybody there. A lot of people loved it even though Ben, The Person That Plays Drums (politically correct term for drummer), was missing due to a sound-guy gig that paid him crazy cash. He's going to share the wealth by going to rainbow grocery, foraging for veggies, and making us Jedi soup.

Tim played his Jazzmaster guitar, leaving the bass at home to sleep, or whatever basses do when not being played. He also played his famous Taurus Pedals (the foot keyboard seen in the photo here), and another Moog keyboard by hand. Just three instruments at once, no big deal. He made me look lazy with my lone SG. The keyboards washed over our two electric guitars like liquid sunshine as we sang  in their glow. Whatever, it was fun.

People loved the minimal sound, saying they could really tune into our voices. We played our usual latest set and one new song, Kaleidoscope. Due to the success of the venture me thinks we gonna continue with that trajectory, adding some more mellow sweet ballads to usual rocking.

Thanks to Ian Bjornstad,an awesome artist who played the show as well.  He did some some tripped out indie folk that amped up into the rock realm. Ghostly-beautiful vocals, complex lyrical themes, and big curly hair.
